A celebratory post to welcome warmer weather and an imminent change of season. These flowers were shot in Mexico in December, and I do not know what they are.
It’s an Ixora, Mike. Small, round bush with long, green leaves and massive orange-hued clusters of sturdy flowers. I have some of them in my garden. They are common in South Texas and Mexico. Beautiful flowers. http://goo.gl/w5GFDH
It could be Hydrangea. I have not seen them in orange but other colors. This is my wife’s expertise not mine. Either way they are beautiful and give spirit.
Thanks Mike. With the forecast of 1-3″ today and freezing rain tomorrow a splash of color made my day.

I feel dramatically warmer for seeing their radiant hue. Perhaps I could show the photo to the snow on my front lawn. 🙂

Do so. The snow has all melted here and I’m fixing to get on my motorcycle in a bit.

So happy for you, and I’m not even being sarcastic. 🙂 Things are melting here and the path by the river is pretty much dry for running and cycling.
