Found on a recent hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, I am somewhat mesmerized by the delicate beauty of this fallen leaf. My lovely wife Judy is my hand model.
Once upon a time this would have been a comfortable home, where your bedroom window may have looked upon the razor wire at the Canon City State Penitentiary. While the prison is still thriving, this old home sits abandoned.
My wife and I have become lapidaries, and as such we are always in a search mode looking for rocks to cut and polish. This particular rock was not one of them, but I did think this lichen was really pretty.
This image is one of our creations. This is from an agate.
