It has rained in Colorado for a the better part of a week. This young flower longs for the sun, but appears to have thrived thus far. It is the official State flower, but remains humble.
I was stunned to notice how some of the snow that had accumulated on my roof was sliding off. It created a sheet that didn’t stay long, and was blessed with natural back-light.

Families who set off on a great adventure, heading west. Many perished, as illness, accidents, and skirmishes took their toll. Many survived, and thrived in the new land.
