I am always in search of a beautiful old barn and this one did not disappoint. The gracious owner was kind enough to allow me on his property and told me this barn was made in 1908. Clearly it has been well maintained as evidenced from the prime condition of the roof.

The cows were just to my right, looking at me, when I stopped on a dirt road to grab this image. Should there be a hole in that silo? I asked a cow, but was ignored. Happens a lot.

A slow ride down a gravel road in Northern Colorado brought me to a placid farm topped by a sky laced with shades of blue, white, and purple. It is good to be alive.

A few days ago after a light snowfall they looked like this…

I like both pictures and it really is refreshing to have a clean snowfall, but I will miss the fall once the winter gets a grip and it becomes too damn cold.
