A frozen Colorado lake with wind blown snow makes a pretty image. This same lake will allow for some great fishing in the spring, when trout are hungry and active.

Lake and Clouds

The Colorado mountains are spectacular in the summer and still have snow at elevation. Clean days, cool nights, frequent rain showers and the deep rumble of thunder echoing off canyon walls. Much to do, including nothing, which is often more than enough.

Those of you who read my stuff know how much I love this dog. On Saturday we had a great off leash hike and Pumpkin took some rest on the cool grass. Not long after this photo she jumped into a lake three times. She was such a stinky mess and I had to lift all 85 lbs of her into a bath tub. Now she is beautiful again. Next time, leash on for that lake.
