I recently toured this long ago closed prison and I must say it was shocking and ghostly. Incredibly, some women were sent here for adultery. I have a few photos I will post in the coming days. In the meantime, read about it here.

A seed company that once was open and thriving has now gone to seed. In addition to the ‘Americana’ feel to this, I am struck by two things. First there is the curious spacing on the painted lettering. It appears they created space to allow the door full exposure, without the possibility of distraction from letters. But more striking are the white stains behind the windows which to my eye creates a very real ghost like effect. Scary as hell, me thinks.
When I process my images I often think I can see things that maybe should not be there. In this case I will present two images, the second of which is a piece of the first image, cropped for clarification. Perhaps I am simply insane….
What drew my attention is in the right side window, bottom left pane. The second image might allow you to see what I see. Or perhaps there is nothing there at all….thoughts?

Found off a dirt road in Colorado, this abandoned home appears over the top spooky. A cloudy and stormy day set the stage for an emotional photo. Although I wanted to go in, I had a very strong feeling that I should not, and my intuition is often my guide.
