A small fishing boat in Mazatlan, Mexico, completes a hard day at sea. They unloaded buckets of fresh fish which were quickly bought by local merchants and restaurants.

These boats stood at the ready while their owners solicited customers for fishing trips or just to go along the coast to sight-see. Tempting as it was, using my feet was less costly.

This big beauty was docked with it’s engine running and the captain was on board doing some paperwork in the pilot house. I did not get to talk to him but the boat was clean and the engine idled smoothly. As to the name of this trawler, that will remain a mystery.

My soul is most at rest at the water’s edge, and in south Texas that need is met with fishing and sight seeing. In this image we see a handsome boat, a little time worn, but looking stout and sea worthy. Today I enjoyed large and fresh shrimp, it was SO good.
