We spent a month in Arizona and never saw any wildlife, except for a few birds. There are rocks everywhere, and they are all baked and weigh nothing. It is an interesting place.
We travel almost every weekend into nearby Nevada, California, Arizona, or Utah. It is pretty rare that we see any wildlife. But when we do, we are like little kids filled with excitement. I am never fast enough with my camera to catch them. Except for wild horses. I hav a ton of wild horse photos!
Agreed. It is an interesting place. I found there was a lot of wildlife scuttling about but invisible unless one stayed quiet and still for way too long for me to do it too often! ❌
As stiff as I am I’m afraid that if I stop I’ll never move again.
In Colorado I am known as the wildlife whisperer and many wild animals will come out of the woods just to give me a kiss.
I guess the word didn’t reach Arizona.
I’m sure you are right Scott. I took a southerly route through Deming, NM and onto I 10 past Tuscon onto I 8 to Yuma. 1200 miles, 4 days there, 4 days back. Diversions were not part of my plan.
That said I would totally enjoy having a few beers with you.

A good wild horse photo is gold, in my opinion. I would have thrilled to see anything, other than a bird.

I’ll blame those furious desert winds for blowing in the wrong direction for that, Mike. 😊❌⭕️

I love deserts… and rocks… must be very interesting to walk about in that environment.

Very quiet and there is a sense of danger, somehow. You get that sense that there are bones lying about, but I saw none.
