I imagine that to be true. Since I do not hunt I never venture deep in a forest as I’m not sure I would find my way out without becoming some animal’s dinner.
Ours woods isn’t so dark and deep this year. Gypsy moths and lack of rain have conspired to produce a lightly-leaved woodland. We sure do need some rain!

At about 7 pm the light starts to fade….wait a few hours and it is darker than hell.
