It looked like a storm but the clouds rolled past. What happened next is I walked back through some brush and retreated to my car, very happy with this image.
I think getting “caught in the field in a downpour” would be fun. But I’m happy with the image, too! It is definitely a “Mike” shot! Which is a good thing, in my mind! Your work just makes me feel good!
Thanks Judy. I was very excited when I drove past this on a dirt road in Michigan. I pulled over and made my way back to it but had to squeeze thru a tall patch of weeds to do it. Then the image opened up for me as you see it. I was thrilled.
That is always one of my favourite parts…the story of getting the image!! I love running into good subjects by accident..well serendipity is what it is!! 🙂
Wonderful!! This could have been taken in my part of the country!
This is why I do love color photography – it’s hard to beat those greens, blues, ambers, and grey/white.
That’s beautiful my friend! XOXO – Bacon

Looks like a storm brewing overhead. I like the contrast of that with the lighting. Creates for me a ‘what happens next’ feel.
