I did fish on lake Huron 2 years ago and that involved some boating. Most of the trip saw gentle waters but it can turn on a dime. I caught a 13 1/2 lb lake trout that was delicious.
Oh this is a story of the castaways….hey, I’d like to live somewhere’s where I could moor a boat for quick day out on the lake. Loving all the depth in your photo, almost looks 3D.
Brings to mind the word, “boiling” and creates a touch of anxiety with the roughed up water and the ominous sky. Beautiful.

I like the word boiling and yes, the sea was rough that day. Thank you very much.

Those clouds are very dramatic in b+w – make the boats look fragile below them…I’d have stayed on shore!

It was a windy and rainy day, not at all good for sailing. I stayed dry and on shore.
Thanks for the comment.

Although I love boating, I’ve always shied away from the rough waters of the Great Lakes 🙂

Oceans scare me more. Rogue waves swamp very large ships and they disappear. I’m not a fan of boating, but I do like to fish.

Don’t like to fish, but do like to cook and eat it LOL!

The B&W makes for a dramatic sky.
BTW, I may have to post some pictures of when my family and I came back from Germany via ship so you can enjoy the ocean. 😉

I would actually love to see those pictures, but would have been nervous making the voyage.

There’s a whole lot of drama in this photo. Don’t know if I should be looking for Voldemort or a pale horse! Very moving.

I’d go with the pale horse. I put drama in my photos so there won’t be any in my life.

Wow, I wonder how those folks like living right near Lake Huron? It must be sort of like living on the Chesapeake Bay here in Virginia. Oh the water!

I imagine they are almost all summer homes as the winter there is ferocious and bitter.
