This is a complex twenty miles west of me that sits completely abandoned. Mostly fenced off, access is difficult at best. Click on the image twice to see some great broken glass.
We have a lot of old, abandoned mills. There is something mysterious and haunted about these old buildings. Very suitable for black and white. Good job!
It speaks of broken souls who have lost their income and way of life. Hardship, loss, and stress. Divorce, foreclosure, and repossession. Changing times, and changing schools.
Did you just call me “hot Mike”? Gee Michael, I didn’t know you felt that way. Please stop.
Thanks. Topaz B&W effects. But that’s just the vehicle, I still need to operate it, eh.
I like that English term smashing, especially when a gracious chap is using it to describe something I’ve done. Blimey!
Thanks Adrian and I’ll keep my eyes open to see your work.
are those grain silo’s? We used to have neat wooden elevators all along the CN rail line. They’re all gone now and put giant cement silo’s in fewer places.
Excellent b&w image, perfectly done!

Thanks Marilyn. These are always good subject matter for mono. Sad places, shuttered and decomposing.

What is it about abandoned buildings that speaks to our hearts? Such emotion in this image.

I like the design principle in this image, using geometric forms with these industrial subjects.

I have no principle in mind, trust me. I shoot and I process and if I like it I publish it. But thank you.
