What came to mind with this lovely shot was that the flower petals were like finger tips that got themselves a bit dirty doing chores. Stunning colors.
That is an interesting interpretation. I checked my Freud books and your analysis is about sex (just kidding, of course. For Freud it was all about sex)
To me it looks like a drone preparing to take off. Yes the colors are vibrant. Thanks!
Haha…well not the first time I have been thought of as different or ‘interesting’ 🙂
A drone preparing to take off…sounds like we have a Rorschach ink dot analysis going on.
Congratulations, I nominated you for the 2013 Blog Of The Year! Go to my link for the details…and Happy New Years from Hot Rod Cowgirl! http://hotrodcowgirl.com/

Mike, the blue flower could be blue sage or plum baggo, I do not know the orange one.

Yes, the blue flowers turned out to be plumbagos. Thanks Ba.

The orange flower looks like a heliconia. I think I’ve seen those before in Singapore.

Yes, I have watched your storm and have thought about you. Stay warm, stay safe, no snow shoveling unless your son does it.

Since it’s so very bright and beautiful, it probably doesn’t need a name. I like the contrast, too. 🙂

Not sure if it’s a heliconia (they’re all over Bali too), but it’s so utterly peacock-ian! Nice one, Mike 😉

Yo, no snow in Mexico.

Doesn’t snow too often in Mexico, but when it does …
We’ve picked up 3-4 inches so far, and is continuing to snow heavily. May have to make a pitcher of margaritas to think warm. Stay warm.

I have already used my snow blower. At least 4 inches here. You too stay warm and well.

As the talented Vincent replied earlier in this comment thread it is indeed a heliconia. A google search show that to be the case. Thanks.
