I can almost hear the leaves crunching under my feet!! I’m getting out today (oral surgery appointment) but I’m excited!! (how things change the perspective, eh?). Enjoy this day, Mike!
I love the poetry of your words..and the fall image!! Here in Florida we have to sense the season changing is less dramatic ways than the fall of leaves…usually a drier softness in the air and a sweet breeze.
Winter is coming. Shiver.

Your picture reminded me of a Haiku a friend of mine wrote:
Tears? The autumn leaves
As they fall are heard sighing:
“Our death invokes spring.”
He writes beautifully, you can check his blog fountainofgrace.wordpress.com

Thanks Judy. I was stationed in Florida, back in the day, and I remember it well. No Autumn, per se, but great fishing!

I am an army brat but was born on a naval station when Dad was in Korea with his first platoon.
We’re you a pilot?

No, I was an enlisted man. The pilots were the ones who walked around all amped up and didn’t even talk to us common folk. I was in from 68-72.
