Our first snow of the season was only an inch, but left some wonderful images. Here are some unknown berries from an unknown tree, with a brilliant Colorado blue sky.
This is about the right time for a light snow. 20 years ago we had one in September that took out two honey locust trees which I had planted maybe 3 years earlier. Split them right down the middle. I made a walking stick from one of them and it is strong and beautiful.
Post a photo of the walking stick. I’d like to see it. The ash trees are not strong trees. They split. I hope none are near your house! If they are, keep an eye on the bifurcations to the separate branches. That’s where the limbs split off in high wind.
Don’t think much of third snow but first snow is an exhilarating experience. The colors in this photo have a real wow factor to them, so pure. Almost too pure for this world. This photo definitely is a favorite.
It seems early snowing… Isn’t it? But beautiful photograph… Poor berries… Thanks and Love, nia

You could use that as a Christmas card. Or some winter holiday card, anyhow 🙂

Probably not a Christmas card, unless Hallmark buys it.

Hi Alex. It was crisp when I took this, and by days end the snow was gone.

It’s not here yet. We’re look forward to at least another month of snow free riding here, but falling temps at night tell us it’s coming 😦

Beautiful shot. We had a dusting-here-and-there kind of snow, which suits me fine. Nothing to shovel or broom off.

Yeah, I don’t shovel anymore. Snow blower when sunshine isn’t enough. Thanks.

Yes, only the first snow is ok, and sometimes depending on the amount, not even then.
I agree, I was blown away by the colors here. Thanks Joseph.
