October Ash Tree

My very own ash tree serenades me with a last burst of color before it will drop all its leaves in a farewell to warmth and reason. Soon winter will barge in like bad company.

  1. Really pretty. I had two huge ash trees in my front yard at the old house. I had no idea what I was buying when we planted them. Twenty-five years later, and much raking of leaves, they were getting old and breaking limbs. We had them removed and replaced by live oak trees. The ash trees grow fast and turn pretty colors in the fall, but they don’t stay with us long in the scheme of things. I like the shape of this one.

    • The live oaks down your way are pretty and fantastic. I was quite taken with them on our trip down there. Yes the ash is a great tree and I hope it sticks around for a time.
