Spooky 😀 Seems that the house has two faces…I just imagine what they would say…Face on the right side: So spooky, so spooky, so spooky!!… Face on the left: Oh come on dude, not again… 😉
Lovely shot and the post processing really gives it a dramatic, haunting atmosphere. I wouldn’t spend a night in that barn… unless if there is a big briefcase of cash for it 😀
If there was a briefcase of cash than you and I would both spend the night and look out for each other. By the way, nice photo in the Digital Light Room contest!
Love the contrasts of the clouds and the tree with the barn. The level of black point is excellent to accentuate the shingles and siding of the barn. Terrific image, Mike, thanks!
One more comment perhaps? The photo is wonderful … but I’m so curious about the barn itself. That tree … so close to the barn. Is this barn near to you?
I love your barn series Mike, I spent some time in the country as a child, my Dad was military and my mom died young so I was shipped off to my grandparents in the summers, we had lots of barns there, I would love to find some photos of those barns, the tobacco barn in particular. Thank you for this amazing tour through nostalgia.
They are tall and box like, they are lined with hangers on the walls that hold strung tobacco on approx. 5 foot sticks, they smell wonderful, rich and pungent from the dying tobacco. Though I was not allowed I often visited the Tobacco barn just to play among the rows of gold and brown leaves. 🙂 It was great.
That’s a great-looking barn. I like the sepia tone.

Best Barn. I’m from poor country, apparently, where barns looked like barns. This is a house for horses. I like this one lots. 🙂

But in your poor country things are wild and unique. Lack of regulations and free flow.

It’s 25 miles from me, and yes that tree is that close. And you can always comment. I thrive on them.
Buy me a beer and I’ll take you to the barn….

A tobacco barn would be a new thing for me. Do they differ in ways one would see?
