A handsome barn found in the country up in Northern Colorado…There is a corn crop ready for harvest and this barn looks to be set up to unload a crop by way of chute, much like a silo would.A closer look at the intriguing and possibly unusual set up for loading tractors or trucks.
I will never tire of the simple beauty of barns and the life of a hard working farmer.

Great find, Mike! This red barn must really stand out in the field.

Thanks Gracie. Yes, this beauty was very easy to spot.

I am more curious about the brace against the door, keeping whatever is in there from getting out.

That would account for the heavy scratching at the door and the cat like noises 🙂

I believe inside the barn you will find grain holding area and a corn husking machine…the chutes will be used for loading the loose corn into trailers for delivery.

Love the roof. It could be used as giant slide during Summer, therefore saving a trip to Wet N’ Wild. 😀

And the headlines would read ‘crazy woman allows children to slide off her roof. Little Johnny breaks clavicle.’

I forgot to add, you need an inflatable pool on the side of the barn, like the ones they have at Walmart.

hahahahaa, we have a waterpark, so I don’t think people need to use their rooftops as slides, unless they’re as awesome as the one in your photo. 🙂

Me too. I would love all the space although heating it might be an issue.

That is a really beautiful barn. Stark in that it’s just the barn. What strikes me is the lack of vegetation around it. Out my way, it would be surrounded by grasses, vines, etc.

Colorado is a semi arid state so we don’t get the lush grasses, vines, etc. It does have a corn crop.
