Figure in Window

When I process my images I often think I can see things that maybe should not be there. In this case I will present two images, the second of which is a piece of the first image, cropped for clarification. Perhaps I am simply insane….What drew my attention is in the right side window, bottom left pane. The second image might allow you to see what I see. Or perhaps there is nothing there at all….thoughts?

  1. I see something that looks like a figurine tucked into the wadded up fabric. I can see the left side of his face and some hair, then what appears to be a yellow jacket.

Or perhaps there is nothing there at all…. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This truly freaked me out. I looked, and at first thought it was the back of a statue with folds of the robe….then I looked again and saw a profile, see a nose and see an eye…….that’s when I clicked out of the enlargement and ran screaming for my coffee. I do not want to join you for lunch….I am going to hide under my bed for the rest of the day. Please send a full report on lunch chatter. Thank you very much!

  3. Crack house? Woodpecker? Damn, you’re funny! ๐Ÿ™‚ And did someone say lunch??
I love this one Mike, but you know that without my saying so! I’m not sure what I see in it, other than brilliant photography… a little creepy, si, pero… this makes it extra bueno!

    • Yes, today is Mike gets to say any crazy ass thing he wants including Pinocchio’s woodpecker. Maybe Thursdays should be lunatic day and that would automatically include you my bright and crazy friend. Fuckery indeed.

      • I think that my advanced age somehow gives me the right to speak my mind but I have to keep it in check here or everyone will run for the hills.
And I only have compliments for you Alex.

  4. It looks like Santa and an armadillo had a baby, holy cow. Your work is fantastic, makes me want to rethink posting any of my own photos. I’m reading about this lunch, I’d like the crust left on my pimento cheese sandwiches, please. I suppose they don’t give us knives, anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Two things: thanks very much, what a nice thing to say.
My work can’t be any better than anyone else, it’s just my interpretation of what I see.
And you are welcome at this lunch table and your crust will remain. A spicy pickle might be nice as a garnish with that pimento.

  5. Fun and mysterious. It looks like something wearing a housecoat, and yet I don’t see a normal head. I wonder if it’s something like a fake owl designed to scare away other birds or critters that might come in the window that doesn’t shut.

    • Well at least you see something. Most people have declared me nuts, which I may well be. You might have a sense of that based on some of the comments I have made on your great blog, eh.

  6. Looks like a ghost to me. It would be really freaky to go back and take more pictures to see if they’re the same or different. I don’t mind being crazy – it’s more fun that way.

    • That is well described Gina, because it is that luminescence that gives it life. Some people see it, most do not. I saw it right away, but alas, this is the only image I have as I did not see it when I photographed the window. When I uploaded it, it about knocked my socks off.

  7. I may be crazier than most. I see a gargoyle poking it’s head out from behind the rags… I’ll be under the bed… but don’t send lunch… I may not answer the door! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • The wood and brickwork was my focus, of course, but it changed when I discovered the little munchkin. What I find really interesting is that only some people can see it. You are now a member of a peculiar club. We will meet monthly and the first meeting is at your house in early October. If you were to serve lobster and wine I imagine that would go over really well. I thank you for your generosity in advance.

  8. I thought there was a ghost in the first picture, but when I looked at the second one I thought it wasn’t anything. Then when I looked at the first one again I saw an old rag….Then I looked at the second one again, screwing up my eyes. I nearly jumped when I saw a white arrow pointing to the profile of a lady wearing a headscarf!

    • Carol it is real interesting to me that some of us see anything and at that something different from what others see. Thanks for taking the time and good hearing from you.

      • I had a similar photo of an abandoned church entrance which had strange globes of light in front of it which looked like they were hovering. I was very disappointed when I put it out on a forum and someone explained it photographically as just a trick of damp light ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I was hoping it was more!
