Quiet Time

Quiet time is still observed in a shuttered motel. No noisy ghosts allowed.

  1. It’s sunny, the colours are light and bright, but somehow it’s more than sad and deserted, it’s waiting… I’m not sure what for, but it’s definitely waiting…

    • I like that you can feel that. I fear that its days as a motel are over. Given the rural setting, it might serve as migrant housing or perhaps just be torn down.
Thanks for the look and comment Lois.

  2. I think it’s hilarious that a “deserted”, emply place has a sign on the tree that says, “Quiet Time 9am-9pm”! Who’s going to be making the noise? And… Who’s going to be hearing it if there’s any noise made?? Kinda reminds me of the old, “if a tree in a forest falls, and there’s no one to hear it, does it still make a noise?”

  3. Used to visit those places when they still had real doors and windows…looking for people…catching glimpses of unimaginable lives inside….

Well done, Mike…and it was nice to see that you made Gunta blush. 🙂
