Have you gone to the Buckhorn Exchange yet? They gots some gator and all kind of critters there. Rattlesnake too. Pretty good eating actually. Animal heads mounted everywhere. I think it might be the oldest restaurant in Denver, and certainly one of the most bizarre.
I am guessing that ?? refers to what others have called my being random. We were talking about horses. I had a shoeshine kit as a kid and used to make a dime or two.
No, that time I tried to be random, just to show you what it actually sounds like. ha. Dezra, here is what I’m thinking……don’t make dinner tonight. Either get someone else to do it, go out to eat, or have something nice delivered.
Oh dear. All I can say is it must be the rum and coke. (And that I have no idea what WordPress is doing… I don’t even know where this post will end up.)
I just read that post–I wouldn’t have thought that one up! I love it. Well, I do love your blog and thank you for commenting on the award. Look forward to your next post 🙂
Great photo & haiku. I’ve just realised you are with horses as I am with neighbourhood cats & dogs. Being currently cat & dog-less I avail myself of community furry-ones who conveniently hang out on or near the footpath for pats & attention. Mind you, in country areas I’ve been known to stop for horse pats as well.
Beautiful lines

To me, I smell horses. That’s my first impression. Musky, animal smells. I never realized that until just now. Lovely horses and beautiful haiku.

I like that. In as much as you are using a sense, I would even call it sensual. An outdoor horse smells better than a horse in a stable.
LikeLike
Since I’ve never been in a stable (seriously!), it must be the outdoor smell. It’s rather comforting…and I’m not a horse person.

??? Indy has mounted police also. But I’ve never smelled one of those! (Horses, not police…well…not them either.)

Sooooo. As a kid you would shine NY mounted police shoes? Ok. I’ll go there. It was rather random. But, hey, I’m not making dinner tonight. So there!
