It is rumored that the colored bricks beneath this door have powers to heal. Sick people come for miles to touch them and ask for redemption. Most of them are shot by the family who own the home. It is not pretty.
I am close enough that the huge plume of smoke drifts east and we are saturated with the smell of it. If it gets any worse, I will have to close my windows. A small price to pay compared to those who are losing everything as the bone dry timber in Colorado burns bright.
The family then wipes the blood across the doors as a deterrent to others but it doesn’t work. The blood of the dead only magnify the magical powers of healing. More come. A blood bath ensues. The doors laugh. Oh, those alien doors….
So they don’t heal gun shot wounds then?

Oh they do, if you can get to them without being shot, again.

Hearty laughter here in Chicago!
BTW, I hope you’re not too close to the huge fires in northern CO?

The fire is 40 miles west of me and no threat, although I can see the clouds of smoke. It is so dry here.
Thank you.
