Held together by sheer will and experience, this old beautiful garage sits quietly with little notice. Sometimes the overlooked is worth turning around for.
No surprise that you appreciate the dark side since you are drawn to it yourself. I am thinking that beneath those sunglasses you might have the eyes of a vampire……..How old are you, really.
You’re welcome. You come up with interesting subjects. It leaves me wondering what you will come up with next. And whether or not you will entertain black and white. 🙂 So many of your images scream for black and white. For, me they make an already mysterious object, or subject and knocks it up a notch or two. Not always however. I love when it does.
LOL, buahhaha. That black triangle is actually a weird piece of plexiglass that had to be custom made and does not belong on this relic of a garage. I’m glad you like it Marielba.
Drawn to the dark side with an irresistible pull, I am helpless and like a child in a candy store, I am wide eyed and hungry for more.
Oh, the stories I could tell just by looking at this photo! Basketball hoop so close to the eaves that making a shot is akin to the Mayans making a shot in their court ballgame (losers die). Rocks to keep the doors closed (to keep the players from escaping). Triangular window pointing up (to remind players where they’ll go if they lose). Yep. Great stories.
Seriously, though, I love the textures of this photo. It is definitely worth a possible car crash while making a U-turn to get the photo. 🙂 At least, I’m sure I’d scare the buhjeebers out of others on the road as I swerve to stop for the photo.
Dezra! So nice to hear from you again. I thought this photo might have some appeal for you, it sure as hell did for me. And I did make a u turn and will again.
I am catching up from being gone for a week and trying to stay on top of what I’m currently doing. I really do like this photo. There are a lot of stories behind it that can only be guessed at. Of course, I took my guesses to the absurd….
Beautiful image, if that garage could talk….

True. How many mini mechanics did it nurture back when you could actually work on your own car? Lots of bonding went on in there.

Love the contrast of black and white on this one, and the black triangle seems to indicate the pathway into the dark side… buahahaha!!!!
