Spring Pumpkin

My beautiful Pumpkin takes some rest on a gentle Spring day. She will be eight years old on Halloween, and I can not get enough of her. She gets  kisses and snuggles throughout the day, and I love her in a very large way.

  1. She is lovely, and obviously well loved … I wish the same could be said for every animal that was ever born. She is a lucky dog, and you are a good photographer … great shot! 🙂

  2. That’s very nice Mike! I like people that love their pets and is not afraid to say it so. I know what you mean my friend. I love my cats very much. 🙂
I had a cat a few years back which I had at home and past away after 18 years, I cried for him. I felt embarrassed also because I had lost relatives and did not react with that emotion.I’m sorry, I admit it.

      • Careful, Mike, your taciturn’s slipping. I know how you feel about Pumpkin. She’s going a little gray around the muzzle. I keep looking at my 10-yr-old Anabelle and see her getting older. I think that makes me pay more attention to her. Ah,how we love them while they are with us.

Your photographs are so very good, mike. All of them. Just perfectly focused and composed with just the right amount of manipulation. You’re good.

  4. How very appropriate that a post titled “Joy” has a golden retriever’s image center stage!
I had one that will remain in my heart and in my mind forever. Best dog I ever had and one that generated much joy!

    • And Pumpkin has entered a place in my heart that has been carved large. I never could have imagined a dog like this and I know you know what I mean. Thanks for the look and this comment.

    • Today we sat together in the yard and I just squeeze her and smelled her deeply. she has a wonderful clean essence that smells soft and sweet and delicious. I could eat her up. A deep and gentle love is exactly what it is. Thank you.

  5. Dogs add an awesome dimension to our lives, they are God-like and tell us how to live every day. I have 2 Catahoula’s, can’t imagine life without them or dogs in general.
