The title hit me at first and I told myself, our dear Mike found something interesting again 🙂 and yes, here it is. Your eye of camera is amazing, maybe so many people don’t see this door but you caught and captured it and it is known now. How amazing photography. I loved it dear Mike, Thank you, have a nice weekend, with my love, nia
It turns out they are all around me, but the doors I discovered some months back on the east side of town. It has always been my belief that we live with images all around us, all the time, and the challenge is to put on what I call my “photo head.” That takes me into the world, and not through it.
Firstly Mike….I ‘adore’ your doors. (Sorry for the pun, I couldn’t resist even though I’m sure I’m not the first to say this to you.) Secondly, I particularly like this one! The colors are soft, the textures are rough…perfect, especially for those of us who enjoy a little roughness.
Some of them are more compelling than others. A few of them are downright creepy and maybe I don’t really want to know who, or what, might be on the other side.
I like the pink tint near the bottom of the wall as well.

And you ARE the first one to “adore” my doors. A lot better than to abhor my doors, me thinks.

Mike – did you realise that the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge this week is ‘contrast’! You came up with a beauty!

I did not realize that. Thank you Jude.

I like the wear-marks at the top right side of the door…years of banging into something as it was slid open…seems like. Nice shot, Mike.

Yeah it looks like a slider that has been off kilter for some time. I like the pastels.
Thanks.

Are you tempted to walk through these doors? It almost seems as if there might be some sort of fairytale land behind some of them.
