This dog of mine, sweet Pumpkin, fills me with joy and love. She recently had dental surgery and I feared for her loneliness waking up in a kennel, without Judy or I in sight. When we went to pick her up the Vet relayed what a sweet dog she is and how upon waking up, she looked around and started to wag her tail. She will be nine on Halloween.
When Putty Nosed Pumpkin gets groomed, she knows she is even prettier than usual and she is like an 86 lb stuffed animal, soft and cuddly. She gives me all the snuggles I want, and comes back for more. I love her profoundly. Note the grass turning green which is payback for surviving another winter. Life is good…my wife, son, and Pumpkin love me.
Looking like a lion who is busy meditating, sweet Pumpkin allows silly daddy to take yet another picture. As I write this she is standing next to me looking for a touch and giving me many kisses. I do touch her, lovingly and frequently. I adore my big beautiful Pumpkin.
I met two horses in the same yard a few days ago. One came over to me for a nuzzle while the other folded himself onto the ground. I will assume he was ok, and just preferred to sit instead of socialize. I know how that goes. He sure is a good looking horse.
