In Formation

As this large group of birds flew close to the current by the seaside, they would peel off one at a time doing what appeared to be a rehearsed and synchronized air ballet. It was quite remarkable to observe and I am certain it was joyous and playful for them.

Captain Bryan

My soul is most at rest at the water’s edge, and in south Texas that need is met with fishing and sight seeing. In this image we see a handsome boat, a little time worn, but looking stout and sea worthy. Today I enjoyed large and fresh shrimp, it was SO good.

Colorado Barn

A simple photo reflecting a deliberate life, where time is measured by which crops are produced according to the season. In this scene we are between crops, and all is still.

GMC Truck

Rusty, with parts missing, this beauty sits like a retired prize fighter …proud, proven, and still talked about. Undefeated and truly a classic, its patina alone is worthy of discussion.

Grain Alley

The side of an old grain elevator is dark and a bit mysterious as well. Note the chute laying on the ground, seemingly abandoned. I won’t be visiting this place at night.

Tin Roof

An old farm building with a rusting and peeling roof gives a hint of long ago by revealing what might be the original roof, underneath. Unless maintained, nature takes it all back.
