Ok, I see that but did not want to call attention to it. There is something else in the lower right pane, upper left corner but you’ll have to blow it up some to see it. What does what you see peeking through the far side look like? (and thank you, of course)
well, I see a shadow of a skull, not on the window but on the wall next to it. But then I see a really freaky scary face in the other window which I can’t reference because I can’t see it now that I’m typing. And don’t even get me started about what I see in the depths of the deep dark circle….
Well I know you and I and others are prone to see these kind of things…..there is a scientific name for it but I don’t remember it. All I know is I see what I see and that’s good enough for me. People like the picture and I don’t want to send them ghost hunting but I was wondering if anyone would report seeing things. Might have known it would be you!
I have a friend who believes the lone pale circles of light that occasionally appear in photographs are spirits of loved ones. Who knows, right?
There are some ‘loved ones’ who I would just as soon never appear again. And others I miss desperately.
p.s. On a lighter note, I’m watching Hewitt and Stepanek on the Tennis Channel, Shanghai I think. Who would have thought those two would still be around.
Great composition! This image is superb, from the fading highlights at the top to the shadows at the bottom. I especially appreciate the interior of the building echoing the windows in a warm yellow, adding just a touch of sunlight to the cool exterior. Not to mention the nearly perfect circle missing from the window… Thanks for sharing!
Mike, I am late to the party as always but man I had to comment on this shot: It freakin’ RAWKS! I am sure your “early to the party” posters told you great this and that was and they would be right.
Love the windows in the back of building being framed if you will by the front window. Nice vent/chute hole as well. I think the back windows had black paint or something covering the top of them. Why someone scraped a square out of the covering beats me but it is cool from this angle! Nice all around, man!
Nice composition!
Thanks my friend.
I wonder who threw a round brick through the window pane.
I also wonder where they found a round brick, and why they would throw it after finding it.
And it was a perfect throw resulting in no additional breakage. Imagine that.
I did . . . hence the question.
You think too much…
Yeah, one of the things that keeps me from “blending in”. But, I’m coping.
Did you add the blue tint to the bricks? Great shot.
I did not…..I’m not that clever. Thank you sir.
That blue color is very pretty in combination with the flowers. Nice shot!
Jeepers, thanks Marion.
I fell all over myself hitting the “like” button on this. Great composition. Fantastic image and title.
Window and weeds? Glad you like it bro. Thank you.
Nice composition Mike.
Thank you very much.
You’re doing a good job with these detail shots!
Nice. Thank you.
What a beautiful picture! I’d like to use it as cover for one of my books in the future.
Really? I’ll have my people talk to your people.
(thank you)
Well, unless you charge me a fortune for using it… otherwise I won’t be able to
We’ll negotiate something we both can live with. I’m easy.
Lovely composition. I like the light coming through the windows from across the room.
Me too. Adds a little drama and interest. Thanks Pat.
Beautiful! Looks like a painting.
Thank you very much, eh.
Perfection. Love it.
I’m not certain, but I think there’s someone peeking through the window on the far side…

Hewitt and Roddick had quite the rivalry when they were in their prime.
You have a way of making ordinary places look so interesting. I echo the other comments – lovely colour and composition.
Well thanks Anna Marie. Maybe they only appear as ordinary but are actually more than that.
This is a terrific shot. Like the texture and the crop.
Much the same as your fine shots. Thanks Hutch.
I love this.
And it loves you. Thank you.
I love your photography and am looking forward to much more.
You are sweet to say so. Thank you.
I love the way you framed this. Spooky, mysterious beauty…

Thanks a lot! I like it quite a bit as well.

Thanks jagged, I really like this photo as well. Your comment is really appreciated.
You very welcome. You bless me with your words and photos for sure!
As do you my friend.
This is a lovely photo, Mike. The weeds are actually the Nebraska State flower, the Goldenrod.
Huh, that I would never have known. And thanks Lori.
