This is just a piece of a very large and vacant barn in Michigan. Soon this will be a broken relic destined for ruin as it is bleached by the sun and pelted by the winter.
Gotcha. Perhaps it should be used as a haunted house.
That’s the kind of paint job I like to see. It must have taken a long time to paint those individual spots. *wink wink* LOL. Just enough color to make it interesting.
I don’t know about Michigan but down here in Ohio they don’t repaint the old barns they just put siding on them. I miss seeing old faded barns like this.
cool shot.. very interesting bard.. love the blue sky in the top left corner. I like the contrast! Any shots with more of the sky? would love to see more
It looks amazing! I love old things!
As do I. Thanks.
It looks a little like it is dressed for Halloween!
You think? As in costumed and scary?
A little scary. It’s the red.

And it must be a big job to repaint it and I suspect that is why so many, even the occupied barns, just go to fade.

Perhaps a place for a barn dance!
This is a VERY big barn and could house most of that community. Could be great fun. Pot luck as well.

Maybe…I’ll look around. Thank you.

Isn’t it strange how vivid some red paint still is, yet some is totally erased?
It is interesting. Sun and water and time creates a painting of sorts.
Faded or splattered with blood…
I guess it depends how you see it.
And we know how you see it, my dark queen.
Love these old barns and the feelings in these photos.
A photo that delivers a feeling is all I could hope for. That, and your favor. Thank you.
Looks like some kind of horror movie massacre happened there. Maybe I’m just hungry. Nice photo Mike!
Lol, maybe you are just hungry? Have a very rare steak (my treat, tell them Mike sent you) and thanks for the comment Christina.
Another excellent old barn shot. Keep them coming.
i see a table made of reclaimed wood in this barn’s future.
I would want one of them. Also many rustic frames.
