Why or how pretty much amounted to the same thing in this case…. the question was pretty much why the “light” leaked out above the door frame. That was pretty tricky… I suppose I ought to be more explicit. Maybe.
No Gunta, don’t change a thing about you, please. Perhaps I could be less terse?
The over-spray (or what I think is over-spray) across the top of the door frame is brilliant against the side of building. It is as if it is saying to the shadow, on the top part of the door, “You can have some of my space but you can never out shine me”! Very Cool shot Mike!
This no oh-by-the-way but I gave mom your message and she said “Thank You”. She is like that over-spray at the top of the door because of people like you.
Thank you for telling your mom that. If I was closer I would go visit her and hold her hand. Really I would. Yeah, I love how this door shot worked out. Thanks Sir Jagged.
Do love the contrast! Great shot!
Thank you very much.
It seems that this door has a crown of light on its top
Wonderful b/w photo!
Thank you Frauke.
Definitely great light!
That it is. Thanks Angeline.
That’s such an arty shot Mike – makes the door look kind of ‘alive’!
It does have a surreal feel to it. Hope your sister is doing well Jude.
Thank you.
Very cool.
Thanks Michael.
What was the light source? I guess you’ve got me curious about the process…
Natural light and perhaps some paint that was over sprayed. When I converted it to B&W it allowed me some manipulation with contrast.
I’m still trying to figure out why….
See comment to Merrill…..that will explain the how. As to why…..You mean how?

Nope… I suppose we’re just fine just as we are
I like the contrasts here, very nice.
Thank you Marielba.

Your Welcome.
Intriguing!
You a night owl Glove.
Yes a little bit!
That would suggest that you don’t have to get up in the morning for work, yes?
No I do I just learned to live on limited sleep! hahaha
Go to bed Glove.
hahaha! Headin’ that way right now actually! Night Five
Very nice contrast here Mike!
Danke.
Really great contrasts, and that explosion of light is wonderful. Nice catch.
Thank you Robin.
