An old barn with a very bad roof sits in ruin. There must be a variety of birds who live in this beautiful structure. It appears that the barn itself is quite solid except for that roof which is rotted and falling away. I wonder if this farmer is experiencing difficult times, like so many other land owners.
So much beautiful wood, going to waste. I do hope the owner will patch it up.

Lovely barn just the way it is….I love to enlarge your photos to the max and study the details….that 2×4 holding up the fence on the right, for instance, just adds to the whole scene. And this has to be an updated barn because there are tires leaning against it, not wagon wheels

Love the (obviously) hinged hay loft door and the overall design. Must have gotten a lot of attention when it was first built (by a prosperous farmer, no doubt). Interestingly, there seem to be no roof shakes littering the ground.
Yeah I think it is an absolute beauty and full of character. And it is just wasting away. All that beautiful wood!

This reminds me of my Grandparent’s barn. I loved to take photos of the roof from the inside before my brother fixed it up and reroofed it a few years back. This is a “farm girl” barn for sure!
